We would like to thank all of the elder board members at Northview Assembly of God church for a job well done in 2008. This elder board has exhibited the 10 main criteria for being on the board at this church. Those prerequisites are as followes:

1. Clear evidence of Salvation
A. John 3:3 (must be born again)
B. Romans 10:9-10 (clear evidence)

2. Baptized in water
A. Mark 16:16 (command)
B. Acts 8:26-39 (obedience)

3. Received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues
A. John 7:38 (promise)
B. Acts 2:1-4 (fulfillment)

4. In agreement with the vision of the church
A. Amos 3:3 (two walk together)
B. Philippians 4:2 (biblical example)
C. Ephesians 5:21 (relationship to staff)

5. Immediate family in order (marriage, kids, and finances)
A. 1 Timothy 3:1-11 (biblical guidelines)
B. 1 Timothy 5:17-22 (biblical guidelines)
C. Hebrews 13:4 (marital purity)

6. Exhibited a steady tithing and giving record
A. Malachi 3:10 (tithing)
B. 2 Corinthians 8:1-15 (giving)

7. Devotional life in order
A. Romans 12:1-2 (worship as a lifestyle)
B. Psalm 95:2 (true love for God)

8. Membership at Northview must accept them as Elders
A. Acts 15:28 (good for everyone)
B. 1 Timothy 5:17 (honorable & credible)

9. Exhibit character and integrity to the general public
A. Galatians 5:16-26 (fruit vs. flesh)
B. Philippians 2:1-8 (servant hood & preference)
C. Ephesians 4:25-32 (communications & treatment)

10. Must be for the pastor and his wife
A. Romans 13:1-7 (submission & respect)
B. Hebrews 13:17 (encouragement or discouragement)
